Mom had a procedure on Tuesday to reposition her drain. Her bloodwork also indicated yet another infection. However, it looks like the source of one of these new infections was her picc line. They removed it, put it in the other arm, and from what mom said yesterday, one of the infections is almost completely gone (since I did not hear these exact words from the doctor myself, I post this with caution). The absess however has not shrunk much, per the scans. They are assessing whether the drain is even worth it at this point since its not really draining anything, and the risk of it causing another infection by staying in outweighs the risk of removing it.
Other than that, we are trying to get mom to eat eat eat! She has put on a few pounds and looks a little fuller in the face, but if you seen her lately, you know she has a ways to go before she gets back up to a healthy weight. If I could give her some of my weight, I would gladly do so. :)
