That's how the doctor described Mom's progress today. She continues to do very well and will probably be released to a rehab facility in Bryan/College Station in the next few days. Fingers crossed! That will be determined after her scans on Monday. She still can't feel or move her leg much but its still so full of fluid, as is her other leg, and its hard to tell what's fluid and what might be something else. But she does have more flexibility in her ankle when others move her foot up and down for her.

I'm trying to figure out how I missed sending a big shout-out of Praise and Thank you, Jesus regarding getting out of ICU! Oh yes, I fell asleep earlier than planned and David woke me up at 8:30 this morning. I understand concern regarding the leg after dealing with Kevin's injury when he was shot and the femoral artery was blown out along with a fist-size area of muscle down to the bone. Healing seems slow - it does take time - but Kevin had great determination - physical therapy was priority and it was very painful at first. I'm calling into being all healing scripture that Dianne has prayed over me and my family. I'm saying to her what one of my Inflight Trainers (who is now the Inflight Training Manager for SWA) said to me one day when I was on the edge of discouragement and that was....."God didn't bring you this far to leave you now"
Hope the release to Rehab in CS happens soon - being home will help as long as she's not expecting too much of herself too soon.
Carolyn, you're doing a great job on updates - thank you so much! Definitely take care and get some much needed rest. I'll use tomorrow to reread blogs to date and rest in the awe and wonder of God's mercy, grace and goodness.
Hugs, Blessings & LOL!
Brenda :)
