Mom looks good today. Got her hair done and was busy doing other beautification rituals when I left a while ago. Color is looking good. She says she's feeling better.
Here is what we know as of now, in the way I understand it:
There is a blood infection and a pocket of infection in her left hip. We are waiting on her blood work and counts to determine if the antibiotics are working on that.
As for her hip infection, they are trying to get all the strains of infections under control and will then either drain that infection, or most likely, go in and scrape it all out. I don't know how infections work, nor do I have the correct medical terms, but apparently the hip thing has been there for a while and even if antibiotics tackle it now, its still going to be there in some form or fashion waiting to re-manifest. This could very well explain her general lack of energy and color for quite some time now, even before the events of late last year.
I'll be talking with her again this evening and will post any new news.
