Mom would like to thank each of you for your thoughts, prayers and messages. They are really keeping her spirits up!
She has a pelvic scan yesterday, and the preliminary analysis by her doctor show nothing of concern. However, her doctor will consult with the radiologist today.
Mom has begun physical therapy, which right now primarily includes just standing up and trying to shift her weight from leg to leg. Since she still cannot feel her left leg, this is proving challenging, and she can't walk or even take a step right now. She is getting more tingling in her leg and foot, however, and I think the moving around, no matter how limited, is going to help her. I was there yesterday afternoon when the therapist came in, and though it was taxing on her, Mom did some standing up and some exercises sitting down, including things to strengthen her upper body. She gets out of breath and tired very quickly, but she is determined to complete her exercises! This should come as no surprise.
And, she will remain at MD Anderson for her physical therapy for the next few weeks. She really hopes to be mobile and possibly back home by Christmas. That might be an ambitious goal given how far she has to go still, but hey, she's already beaten the odds and amazed her doctors with her progress thus far!

This is so very encouraging to hear about Dianne's progress! Thank you for the updates!
Tell her that my Mom is here visiting and asked about how she was doing. I'm glad that I can report that she has started PT. We'll continue praying!
